Pacific Golden Chanterelle (Cantharellus formosus)

Chanterelles are one of the most popular mushrooms to forage in the Pacific Northwest, and on Vancouver Island.


Winter Chanterelle (Craterellus neotubaeformis)

Winter chanterelles appear in the late fall and winter around the moss-covered roots of conifers.


Morels (Morchella sp.)

Morels are a popular spring-appearing mushroom foraged in many parts of the world. Vancouver island has many varieties of morel as well.

Lobster Mushroom (Hypomyces lactifluorum)

A parasitic conversion of a regular mushroom, the bright orange and hefty lobster mushrooms appear near the end of summer.


Matsutake / Pine Mushroom (Tricholoma magnivelare)
